At Elekta, our security team protects our customer systems across the globe. Ensuring Patients data is secured and safe. Elekta’s Axis Cloud is a fast-growing Software as Service cloud platform, constantly evolving and improving. 

 

This is a hands-on Cloud Operations Security Engineer role reporting to the Chief Product Security office / Head of Product security. You will be responsible for triaging of incoming security issues and the end-to-end management of customer security issues. You will be part of a fast-growing Security team ensuring continuous monitoring and security improvement of the Axis cloud platform.

What you’ll do at Elekta 

• You will analyse and respond to security threats from various security platforms and technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Tenable and Okta. 

• You will respond in a timely manner (within documented SLA) to configuration, maintenance, incident management, and other requests. 

• You will document actions in the ServiceNow/JIRA ticketing systems to effectively communicate information internally and to customers. 

• You will address basic and support-based client configuration issues and alerts related to the security of our customer cloud environments.  

• You will Resolve problems independently and understand escalation procedures. 

• You will co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders such as Architecture, Engineering, IT, Third Parties and Testing teams to ensure that security is a co-ordinated effort by default.  

• You will support audit activities by collecting and providing evidence of adherence to security controls. 

• You will work with the team on periodic security reviews and security simulations.  

• You will identify process gaps, suggest, and implement improvements.  

• You will perform other Security Operational and Administrative duties as assigned. 

 

The right stuff 

• Requires interfacing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in a polite, positive, and professional manner. 

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required. 

• A passion for information security and data security required. 

• Detail-oriented with strong organization skills required. 

• Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written/verbal communication skills. 

• Willingness to be on-call after hours and weekends on a rotating basis. 

• Medical device product security experience and regulatory compliance to FDA/MDD/MDR/HIPAA/GDPR/SOC2 a plus. 

 

What you bring 

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school in Information  

• 3 Years’ experience securing cloud systems at scale. 

• Technology, Information Security/Assurance, Engineering, or related field of study. 

• Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining Azure and AWS cloud systems and security is necessary for this role. 

• Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining Citrix. 

• Implementing and maintaining Okta IDaaS or similar cloud identity services. 

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Containerization Technologies. 

• Demonstrated expertise implementing and maintaining TCP/IP networking. 

• Operational experience with Linux, Containers, Windows, and Network Operating Systems. 

• Strong working knowledge of Routing and Access Control Devices. 

• Microsoft Azure Security Certifications (AZ-900, AZ-500, SC-900, SC-200). 

• Other Security-related security certifications are a plus.
